Hana Nesbitt
PRENATAL YOGA TEACHER
Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu — May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and freedom for all.
Yoga has been a big part of cultivating joy and freedom in my life over the last 9 years – I discovered yoga at my local climbing gym in 2015 during a time of intense pain and change. Pranayama and asana have been grounding forces for me ever since, across many other changes and travels.
Now I love getting to share yoga practice, both as student and teacher. My hope is that our practice together supports you as you navigate the transition of pregnancy, creating space for emotions to emerge and leaving class more relaxed and grounded.
I received my RYT 200 in Hatha Yoga from Center Yoga in NYC in 2023 and my RPYT 85 in Prenatal Yoga from Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC in 2024. I also practiced with Rebecca Thieneman for several years in Berkeley, CA and her blended Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vipassana practice has shaped my personal practice. I also am a Birth Doula, currently training for certification with Carriage House Birth in Brooklyn.
When I’m not on the mat, you’ll probably run into me taking a long walk in Central Park while listening to an audiobook, working on a design project or building a playlist.
