Birth Story: Three Remarkable and Quick Births! with Hannah Brenman

Today we have one of my favorite type of episodes, we have a birth story.  We actually have three birth stories because my guest has been at PYC for all three of her pregnancies.  She recounts each birth, their similarities and differences, as well as the lessons she learned from each of them.  I am excited for you to hear about how she learned to trust and really listen to her body.  We talked about how we do that on the yoga mat and how her yoga practice helped her gain a deep understanding of what her body needed to do to birth her babies.

On this episode of Yoga|Birth|Babies, we welcome Hannah Brenman, one of our PYC students. Hannah Brenman was born and raised in Atlanta GA, but has been living in NYC for 15 years. Hannah is a NYC public school teacher and the mother of three wonderful daughters. Hannah enjoys running and has run two NYC marathons (one 5 weeks pregnant!).

Hannah shares that as a parent of three children she has learned to “let good be good enough.”  She says letting go of perfection has allowed her to navigate parenthood as her family grows.  She has such gems to share in this episode.  It has been a joy speaking with Hannah and having her be part of our community.

In this episode you will learn:

  • About Hannah
  • The similarities and differences between her births.
  • How she felt about giving birth quickly.
  • How comparing her births may have held her back.
  • Her evolution as a parent.
  • A piece of advice Hannah would like to offer new or expectant parents.
