Baby and Me

Baby and Me focuses on strengthening the spiritual, emotional and physical bond between parent and child. Using interactive, slow-moving postures the class is ideal for mommies and babies 4 weeks to crawling. Class also includes infant massage and various exercises that assist the development of your child’s motor skills. Baby and Me Yoga will help carry you smoothly through the busy early months of caring for a new baby.


Prenatal Yoga

The Prenatal Yoga Center hosts its unique program on Sunday afternoons at the JCC on the Upper West Side. Catering to the needs of the students, this class links yoga postures with breath, helping to bring awareness to the mind and body as well as a connection to your baby.

The program, conducted in a calm, peaceful environment, will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation and increase overall comfort. Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy. A safe, open community allows you to freely discuss any issues or concerns and share the wonderful new changes you and your baby are experiencing.

Stacey McFadin

Stacey McFadin is a former professional dancer and dance teacher, and draws upon this experience to teach yoga, emphasizing alignment, breath work, and flow. She began her yoga practice in 2008 to restore balance amidst her busy and stressful career as an attorney. Stacey is a 200 hour RYT, also certified in Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, SPRY (Stability Plus Resistance Yoga), and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She volunteers with the non-profit Exhale to Inhale, teaching yoga to survivors of domestic abuse.

As a prenatal yoga teacher, Stacey loves connecting expecting mothers with their inner creativity and rhythm, building confidence through authentic movement and breath work. She interweaves childbirth education throughout each class, inviting expecting mothers to explore tools and techniques that they may take with them on their journey through pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood.
