Hi my name is Kristiana. I had a amniocentesis done when I was 17 weeks. I started leaking fluid. I am 22 weeks and still leaking. I am on bed rest and the dr gave me two options. To continue pregnancy or to terminate it. My reading for my fluid was at 2cm. Then a week later went up to 6cm. Our concerns are if there was any damage done because of the low fluid readings.

Amniotic fluid levels can be determined in the second trimester. Your care provider will likely not show much concern about the fluid levels unless you are measuring small, have a leakage of fluid or a decreased awareness of your baby's movement.

I was diagnosed as having oligohydramnios because my unborn baby girl has one kidney and it's cystic. If you know of a perinatologist that is willing to perform an amnioinfusion during the 20th week of pregnancy in the Washington, DC metro area please contact me at 240-401-2627 her life depends on it. Thanks so much
